If you have a PlayStation 5 and you don’t have a PlayStation Plus subscription, then you are missing out on a lot. You can get the 12-month subscription that gives you access to the vast game catalog, Ubisoft classics, and a lot more.
You can find a lot of AAA games in the catalog, which I feel like you shouldn’t miss.
Some of these games include classics that many of us played on the PlayStation 2, such as the Jak and Daxter series. However, do keep in mind that newer games in the catalog have a hefty file size, which is why it is a good idea to connect your PS5 to a superfast and reliable internet connection to download these games as quickly as possible.
Ever since I got my PS Plus premium subscription, I’ve connected my PS5 to an Xfinity Internet connection, and honestly, I’m having the time of my life. I would honestly suggest you to do the same, too. In fact, if you look into Xfinity Internet plans, you can get an internet connection at a discounted price.
Moving on to the games, here are some games that I feel like you shouldn’t miss out on.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
You might remember Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy on the PS4. The Legacy of Thieves Collection includes the remastered versions of both games.
Uncharted 4 takes you on the last adventure of Nathan Drake as he looks for pirate captain Henry Avery’s lost treasure so he can save his brother Sam, who owes money to a drug lord.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a story that revolves around Chloe Frazer, an associate of Nathan. Chloe visits her roots as she travels back to India so that she can look for the lost Tusk of Lord Ganesh. She has a very unlikely ally, and the game will make more sense to you if you play Uncharted 4 first.
Though the game was pretty short, it was still a pretty interesting one to play.
Jak 3
Jak 3 is the last of the Jak and Daxter trilogy, and honestly, it is my personal favorite. In the game, you get to visit two locations: the Wastelands, which basically serve as a safe haven for the people who were cast out of Haven City, and Haven City itself.
While you play as Jak, it is up to you to protect both the Wastelands and Haven City. You get new interesting mods for your gun, which makes the gameplay even more exhilarating.
Not only that, but the iconic Jet Board also made a return to the game, which made traversal even more fun. Jak 3 is the kind of game that you shouldn’t miss. The best part is that both Uncharted and Jak 3 were created by Naughty Dog!
The Last of Us Part I
Here’s another game created by Naughty Dog. The Last of Us Part I is an entire remake of the original game. While the game did get a remaster for the PS4 (as it was initially released on the PS3), Naughty Dog really felt the need to recreate the game for the current generation.
While the story remains the same, I love how they added more detail to the game. You can relive events from the first game, with enhanced graphics and faster load times, all thanks to the PS5’s powerful SSD.
God of War Ragnarök
You’ve witnessed Kratos take on the Greek Gods in the previous games. But now, you’ll find him tangled in a web of Norse Mythology.
However, to understand the story better, I recommend you play 2018’s God of War first so that the story of Ragnarök makes more sense to you. You’ll also find out how Kratos winds up in Norse mythology from Greek mythology.
Compared to the older games, Ragnarök was truly lightyears ahead in terms of its graphics, chaotic gameplay, and captivating story.
Hogwarts Legacy
Though this game has absolutely nothing to do with the story of Harry Potter, it gives you the same magical vibes in the most interactive way possible.
The game is set thousands of years before the events of Harry Potter, but everything else is the same. You can still play as a character from either of the houses, including Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw.
The story is about ancient magic and how it could be used as a powerful weapon if it falls into the wrong hands. Plus, the gameplay is truly magical as you get to use all the spells you probably saw in the movies and read about in the books. This is truly the kind of game you can’t miss.
This concludes my list of games from PlayStation Plus Premium that I really think you should play. Be sure to give all of them a shot so that you don’t miss out.
